During Year 11 the pupils participate in work-related learning activities such as  employability interviews in January. Throughout the year Mr Fay meets with pupils to discuss post 16 options; this may involve work with form groups or individual meetings.

Progress is monitored closely and pupils attend a review day in November with their parents followed by parents evening in January. The pupils have an opportunity to work after school on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at ‘Night Owl’ sessions, the attendance at which is also monitored.

Charity Work

Students and staff work hard to raise funds for Macmillan charity. Students are encouraged to get involved in cake and raffles sales throughout the year. During registration Year 11 forms have collection boxes which are passed around to encourage students to donate. This year we will offer equipment for sale such as pens, pencils and ruler’s with all proceeds go towards Macmillan charity.
